Final Reflection
I definitely learned a lot from this class and I found all of the assignments and discussions we did beneficial, especially the softchalk assignments. The goals I had in the beginning of the semester were to improve on time management, improve on my writing skills, and learn to like political science. I definitely improved on time management, but I still believe there’s a lot of room for improvement. I was doing really well until I got to the last few weeks. Work started piling up from this class and microbiology and I got really overwhelmed. It was mostly because I was having a really hard time getting sleep and stress made me lose my appetite. I felt very fatigued and it really affected me mentally and physically. My mind was telling me to finish all my work earlier in the week so I had the weekend to rest, but my actions spoke differently. I told myself that I wanted to stop procrastinating because that’s also one thing that caused my stress. I know I could’ve put more thought in my discussions, but I let my mind take a toll on me. Time management is definitely key and I believe I did improve since last semester, but I just need to work on relieving stress so that I can give my all when doing my assignments. I do believe that my writing skills got better from all the writing assignments we’ve done in this class. I also believe my analyzing skills got sharper, but I still somehow struggle. Political science was a tough class for me, but I do think I learned to enjoy it a little more than when I first started this class. It was mostly because I found the assignments interesting and challenging. I really got to learn more about how the government works and how it’s formed, and more about how the presidential elections work and how supreme court cases are ruled. This class really got me thinking and I appreciate that I get to leave more knowledgeable about the system of our country.
