Informational Interview
My aunt, Luisel Gaza
During HARDD Summer, we were asked to interview someone in the career we would like to have someday. I chose to interview my aunt, Luisel Gaza, who is a nurse. I keep telling myself that I want to do nursing when really that's what my parents want me to do. I want to be a Child Psychologist. I interviewed my aunt so I can learn more about the nursing field before I diss it altogether. I learned how much hard work and effort goes into being a nurse. You have to go through clinical training, but you usually get hooked up with an internship during your last few years of schooling which can most definitely lead to a job right when you graduate and pass the exam that is required in order to be a registered nurse. I always saw myself in Luisel because, like her, I always think about other's well beings before mine. We're "people" people if that makes sense. She lives in San Diego and puts her family over everyone else which truly inspires me. She told me that I have the perfect personality to becoming a nurse which really got me considering joining the nursing program at PCC, but I'm still not quite sure since I heard it's really hard to get in. I know that if I pick nursing or psychology, I will be in good hands and I'll still end up working with children either way.
Career Reflection
This is my older sister, Wilma, who is going through school right now to become a Veterinarian. She is my role model because I've never seen anyone work as hard as she does and that inspires me to work as hard as I can to reach the goals I have for myself. We've had our ups and downs, but now that we're in college we both see eye to eye and we always have each other's backs.

I've told myself since the very beginning that I can do whatever I want as long as I put my whole heart into what I am doing. I also told myself that I need to do something I truly care about because there's no point in having a job that does make good money but you have to drag yourself to work everyday. I want to go to work with a smile on my face everyday because it's important to enjoy your occupation. It took me a long time to figure out what I want to do with my life and I'm still struggling between two different majors (psychology and nursing) that I might want to spend the rest of my life doing. Both of them have something to do with helping others and that pretty much says a lot about me. I'm not in this world to serve myself but to serve others and most importantly God. I want to help people because I know that's something I will always enjoy and never getting tired of doing. Life is too short to try and live under selfish reasons. I surround myself with family and friends who really care about me and support the decisions I make in life. My older sister, Wilma, has played a big role in shaping who I am today because she is my role model. I see how hard working she is and that makes me want to work twice as hard as I do now. It may be stressful at times but what I learned from her is that hard work always pays off and you'll thank God in the end.
